Dr. Wessam Abdo Eldod is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 28 years of multinational clinical and leadership experience across Egypt and Qatar. She combines advanced psychiatric practice with senior-level expertise in mental health policy, child protection, family welfare, forensic psychiatry, and psychosocial rehabilitation.
She holds MD, MSc, and PhD degrees in Psychiatry & Neurology, and has served in both academic and high-impact governmental roles. Her career includes extensive work in trauma, abuse, and complex psychosocial cases, particularly involving children, adolescents, women, and vulnerable populations.
In Qatar, Dr. Wessam has held senior consultant and leadership positions within national institutions, including work at the Minister’s Office – Ministry of Social Development & Family, where she also served as Medical Director and Head of the Psychosocial & Medical Team at the national orphanage and rehabilitation center. Her role encompassed clinical governance, multidisciplinary team leadership, forensic psychiatric evaluations, and crisis intervention at a national level.
